Our future proofed fleet puts us ahead

We think it’s really important to give our customers total peace of mind in the complex area of energy standards. There has been widespread industry speculation about how these standards will develop with the common view being that there will be legislation in place within the next three years that will enforce a minimum EPC “B” Ratings for all temporary accommodation supplied across all sectors.

We’ve been developing and employing a “B” Rated unit since 2007, but regular changes to the legislation means we constantly enhance our product to retain our “B” status. Most recent changes have seen us incorporate Argon gas filled double glazed windows (U-Value of 1.5W/m²K to BS EN 1279 Part 2 and Part 3 BS EN 1279) and the latest LED (PIR) light fittings (tested to LM-80 and meeting BS EN 61347-2-13).

We are proud that around 80% of our current fleet, and all the units we are currently manufacturing, comply with the very latest standards set out by the Department for Communities and Local Government (Part L 2013) which came into force in April 2014.

Our compliance with the legislation is robustly monitored using sBEM software (version 5.1d) provided by BRE.
